September already?!

Next week we’ll be sending the children off to settle into their new classes, and that is the perfect time for you to settle back into your fitness routine.

At JWC we put a big focus on member attendance. In fact, we have a whole role dedicated specifically to it. We’re looking for changes in routine, sessions regularity reduction or any other signs of decreased motivation. If

you’ve ever experienced this, you’ll almost certainly have received a phone call with some gentle encouragement to ease you back in and back on track. Throughout the 6-week summer holidays, however, it’s near impossible to keep on top of this.

With people coming and going on holidays there is little routine. I believe that this year has been harder than ever with people having multiple short breaks in the UK rather than a single holiday abroad. For those people, It’s never easy getting back into a routine and it’s very easy to let negative momentum take over and wash you away, so I want to give you a few tips to get back on track.

  • Book your sessions 7 days in advance, and under absolutely no circumstances allow yourself to cancel! Cancelling one session may seem, in the grand scheme of things irrelevant, but doing this once makes it OK, and that will become a slippery slope!

  • Book in with a JWC coach to reset your goals and tracking. If you’ve taken a couple of steps backwards it’s wise to get some new data. Get in touch today to book your review!

  • Ensure your plan is realistic and achievable. Setting yourself a goal of exercising 7 days a week is not sustainable (in most cases). Failure to achieve any one goal will create negative feeling around the entire journey and lead you to lose momentum all together.

The JWC team are here to help keep you on track.

If you need some words of wisdom, a little nutrition advice or anything else to help keep you on track, no not hesitate to ask!
